In the morning of 3rd September, the special activity "Engagement in International Organisations: SeaForAll as an Example" commenced. All lecturers and trainees engaged in an in-depth discussion on how young scientists can participate in the work of international ocean organisations. Using the SeaForAll platform as a case study, the activity guided trainees in understanding the operational mechanisms of international ocean organisations, reflecting on their own positioning within the global marine science community, and exploring effective pathways for engaging in international ocean governance. During the discussion, trainees actively shared the current status and needs of marine research in their respective countries and exchanged ideas on how to leverage international platforms to promote South–South and North–South cooperation. The activity not only enhanced trainees' understanding of the international ocean governance system but also inspired a sense of responsibility and mission among young scientists to engage in global ocean affairs.

In the afternoon, we visited the Qingdao Boyite Biomaterial Co., Ltd, and Qingdao No. 39 Middle School.
